KKM Precision TiNi Glock Barrels

If you ever wanted to coat something on your gun, or maybe elsewhere, it can be confusing as to which coating to use. Should you get TiNi, Cerakote, Gunkote, Duracoat, Parkerizing, Nickel Boron, Melonite, etc.? Each have downsides and upsides. When looking for a new Glock barrel a year ago or so I settled on the KKM Precision. It had good reviews and was reasonably priced. But I came across an Instagram post by Titanium Gun. It showed a TiNi'd Glock barrel. Now I am not one for lot's of bling, but a gold colored TiNi barrel looks sexy! The gold color is mandatory as it is what happens in relation to the process. It only comes in the gold color, you cannot change it. So I got the barrel from them and began to check it out.

What has blown me away is its durability. On Glock barrels there is always a little scratch from when the Glock slide and barrel go through their full lockup and operation. I have also seen this on my one Silencerco barrel I had Cerakoted. I love Cerakote, tons of color options, etc. But this TiNi coating that Titanium Gun does is impressively tough. I have tons of rounds through this barrel and still not a scratch on it. They do a bunch of stuff. I believe if you can send it to them they will coat it. I like the color for accent, but if you wanted you could do your whole gun! Check them out, they do great work.

In terms of the characteristics of the KKM Precision Barrel, it is a snugger ammo fit compared to the OEM Glock barrel. It is a smidgen closer to the bullet making chambering more reliable. I have not had one malfunction and it is more accurate than the OEM barrel. It works, it looks like the unicorn I wanted it to look like and proven to be reliable. If you ever wondered about KKM Precision Glock barrels, they are good to go.
